Hello everyone,
My name is Nate Nguyen and I’m newest to the IUPP team. I’m very happy to be part of University Programs to support students in their educational journey in the United States. It is a priviledge for me to work with students from diverse backgrounds as I enjoy learning from students who come from all over the world! My goal is for us to learn together and challenge each other to achieve our hopes and dreams. I was born in Vietnam, and grew up the Midwest in the state of Nebraska. In Nebraska, we are known as the Cornhuskers (Go Big Red!). My education journey then took me to Dubuque, Iowa where I did my undergraduate, to Nagoya, Japan where I studied abroad, to Chicago, Illinois where I did my master’s, and now to Southern California where I’m working and continuing my education. One of my passions is traveling and exploring new places. I highly enjoy nature and being outdoors. I especially like hiking, kayaking, swimming, and snorkeling. I believe nature has given us a beautiful gift, and we should take the time to enjoy its beauty and creation, and protect it from harm. I love my family and they’re an important part of my life. My family also includes our cat, Kide. He is very affectionate and knows how to use the toilet! In my free time, I try to engage in creative activities. I read, do photography, cook, paint, and write. To read some of my poetry and other writings, check out my blog, Poetry for the Sun. If you want to know me better or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. |
